Harpers Corner Road Reopened After Rock Slide

by | Jun 6, 2019 | News | 0 comments

Thanks to the help of some heavy equipment, Harpers Corner Road has reopened. The rock slide happened in the Plug Hat Butte area on Monday, closing Harpers Corner Road between the Monument headquarters near Dinosaur, Colorado and Moffat County Road 16. Dinosaur National Monument announced on Tuesday that the Colorado Department of Transportation stepped in to clear the rockfall debris and the scenic drive in Colorado was reopened. The rock slide did not affect access to the Dinosaur Quarry on the Utah side of Dinosaur National Monument.
