The epic life story of Jane Eyre was originally published in 1847 and has impacted the lives of those that read it since. It has been referenced in various forms of pop culture as well as being a book, a movie, a television series and a musical. The Uintah Basin will soon be the stage for Jane Eyre the Musical presented by Vernal Theatre: Live. Auditions for the play will be held Wednesday, December 11th and Thursday, December 12th from 7pm to 10pm. Those that are interested should prepare 60 seconds of a song in Broadway style (the time limit will be enforced) with their own pianist or recorded music without backup vocals. You will also need a 4×6 color headshot. Individuals should be ready to cold read from the script in an accent if possible.
