Summer Hours for Attractions in the Ashley National Forest

Ashley National Forest offers even more than escapes into nature. There are attractions to visit to truly and thoroughly enjoy the experience and the area. The Red Canyon Visitor Center is located near many hiking trails and offers exhibits about the unique aspects of local flora, fauna, inhabitants, and geology. They also offer free programs throughout the summer. The visitor center hours are
Monday through Wednesday 10am
to 5pm and then
9am to 6pm on Thursday
to Sunday. Swett Ranch offers a time capsule to the frontier life by exploring the Swett’s homestead that was claimed in 1909 and grew the next 58 years. The ranch’s hours are
10am to 4pm on Thursday
through Sunday. The Ute Mountain Fire Lookout was the first and the last standing fire tower built in Utah. The tower offers a panoramic view of the Ashley National Forest.
