The Duchesne County School Board honored this month’s ‘Extra Degree’ recipients at their latest board meeting. School Resource Officer Clint Robinson is known for his positive relationships with the students he works to protect so it no surprise he was among those selected. Student Services Director Scott Forsyth says that one thing he loves about working with Officer Robinson is “the relationship he builds with kids. He’s a friend, someone they can go to if they have trouble or need help.” The other ‘Extra Degree’ recipients were school board member Gordon Moon, Sheila Birchell, and Michael Weldon. Moon was selected because he was able to help the district increase their mineral lease funds. Birchell was praised for her work organizing the Community Matters conference and making it a success. Weldon was awarded for his service at Altamont High School, always jumping in to help out and bringing a friendly and positive attitude. Congratulations to all the award recipients!
