Roosevelt City has shared the results of their annual financial audit. “As is required annually, Roosevelt City has just undergone its independent financial audit for the 2018-2019 fiscal year,” shares Roosevelt City. “Auditors from Aycock, Miles, & Associates found that the city’s financial condition has steadily improved, putting Roosevelt in a better financial condition than it has been at any time in a number of years.” The announcement from Roosevelt City includes graphs, showing that the city’s funds have “shown marked improvement over time, with the most dramatic improvements taking place from 2016 onward.” The improvements are especially impressive when considering the instability in the Uintah Basin economy in recent years. In fact, Roosevelt City reports that during the 2015-2016 fiscal year, the city experienced a decline of about 30 percent in sales tax revenue yet improvements in city funds were still achieved. The full financial audit can be viewed on RooseveltCity.com.
