Blazing Trails K9 Academy Brings 20+ Years of Experience to the Basin

Owning a dog can be like having a new family member but a dog’s behavior can greatly influence our attitude about canines. Luckily the Basin has some new community members that can help. Lynne Gifford Bell and Travis Bell are the owners of Blazing Trails K9 Academy, a dog training service out of Duchesne, Utah, and they come with a long list of qualifications. Lynne got her start at nine years old when she sought out a talented professional trainer because she had an aggressive doberman. She now has 33 years of being a professional. Among her vast experiences with animals she was a studio animal trainer for commercials, movies, and television; she worked with exotic animals at Six Flags (including timber wolves); and was even a head trainer at some major facilities. Throughout it all, her passion has been dog training. Before moving here she had a training business in California for 20 years. Blazing Trails K9 Academy is having a Meet the Trainer event on Saturday, November 9th starting at 10am at Give A Dog Bone in Vernal. On Wednesday, November 20th their trainers will hold a ‘Dog Behavior Problems?’ Troubleshooting lecture. It will start at 6pm at Furever Buddy’s Dog Rescue in Roosevelt. You can also reach the academy at 435-494-1473.
