Construction continues on Highway 40 in the Strawberry Valley. “New guardrail is being installed this week,” shares UDOT. “Crews continue working on the slopes along both shoulders of the roadway between Mile Post 34 and 40. Due to inclement weather, topsoil, seeding and spraying mulch will continue this week and next. Barrels will remain along the shoulders where this work is taking place. Drivers should be alert and aware of changing lane configurations and reduced speed limits in the project area.” During the winter months, crews will work to extend the Strawberry River box culvert resulting in periodic shoulder closures. Major road construction activities will resume in spring 2020. As always, plan ahead for construction delays and drive safely.
