The prescribed burn in Duchesne Ranger District continues on Fossil Ridge in the “Reservation Ridge East Sagebrush project” area. Ashley National Forest shared on Friday that fire crews began the project on October 12th and have burned 1100 of the 1400 acres so far. “Crews from two Engines and a 10 person Hand Crew continue to monitor the controlled fire and the burn project area,” shared the announcement. “The prescribed fire has been a success, met fire management objectives by improving wildlife habitat, and decreased the threat of larger wildland fire in the future.”
