Evans Family Media is ready for some summer fun, ‘Fun on 40’ to be exact. All next week, Evans Family Media is celebrating Roosevelt Spirit Week and are inviting all to join in the fun along Highway 40. Turns out we’re not the only ones that think Roosevelt is worth highlighting as the City was recently contacted by the Utah Office of Community Development to commend them on their excellent example of community engagement. “It was great to get feedback on a state level,” shares Roosevelt City PIO LeeNichole Marett. “They’ve asked us to create a tool kit that can be shared with other communities on what Roosevelt is doing that works really well.” While keeping the public informed is a great practice in itself, Roosevelt City is also being recognized by the Office of Community Development for including the public as they update the City’s Master Plan. “We insisted that the engineering firm reach out to the public,” explains Marett. “Rather than have the engineering firm tell us what to do in our city, we wanted to build the kind of city into the future that the community wants.
