A man known for his involvement in forest planning locally is moving on to an exciting new adventure in the far north. Jeff Schramm has served in Utah as a district ranger on the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest and Ashley National Forest and most recently serves as the Forest Supervisor of the Ashley National Forest. Schramm was recently announced as the new forest supervisor for the Chugach National Forest where he will oversee the management of more than 5.4 million acres of forest lands in Southcentral Alaska. Schramm will report to the Alaska Region in August.
