Uintah High School is working on a special new display that will debut on Veterans Day next month and they need the community’s help. “Uintah High School wants to honor all military personnel who have graduated from Uintah High School, regardless of when they graduated,” shares Student Council Advisor Janalee Watkins. “We are asking community members to send in 8” x 10” copies of military pictures and on the back write their name, year graduated, military branch, and highest rank… We plan to use them year after year and add to the wall. If you know of someone who is a Veteran who has died, or moved from the community, reach out to them [or their family] and make them aware of our project,” Watkins requests. The photos sent must be copies as they will not be returned. The Veterans Wall of Honor will be displayed from Nov 11th through the 15th. The plan is to display and add to the wall each year during Veterans Week. Those wanting to contribute can mail or deliver the pictures to Uintah High School, 1880 West 500 North, Vernal, Utah 84078. Pictures are due by October 28th. Questions can be directed to janalee.watkins@uintah.net
