Strong wind was the cause of an incident in Uintah County on Wednesday. The Jensen Fire Department reports that their unit was paged to an electrical power line fire shortly after 7pm on October 9th. “The strong winds blew a tree branch into the power lines causing arching, sparking, and flames,” shares Jensen Fire Department. “A fire unit was left at the scene to secure public safety and wait for the power company to remove the branch from the powerlines.” Winds have caused an increase in fire danger in general even with the cooler weather.
