Thankfully, there were no serious injuries after a series of unfortunate events in the parking lot near Roosevelt Junior High on Wednesday morning. According to Roosevelt City Police, it began when a 14-year-old boy was riding his bike on the sidewalk headed to the Junior High. “A vehicle was pulling out of the school and stopped for traffic. The boy crashed his bike to avoid running into the vehicle. He sustained minor injuries to his wrist and hand,” explains police. The teen was treated by ambulance personnel from the Uintah Basin Medical Center before being released to his family. Unfortunately, as the young man was walking from the ambulance, a second boy on a bicycle ran into him. Thankfully, neither boy was injured in that accident.
