Dinosaur National Monument Encourages Public to Help Monarch Butterflies

Through many posts on their Facebook page, people can know that Dinosaur National Monument is working hard to support Monarch butterfly populations as they simultaneously strive to educate the public. As these gorgeous butterflies face a national decline, Dinosaur National Monument is encouraging those that want to help to provide some basic needs. Monarchs need milkweed as that is what monarch larvae eat. They need trees to roost in overnight, water, and of course blooming nectar plants to have the nutrients needed to reproduce and migrate.
