Grants can be a great help in securing funds for our companies and causes. However there are tricks and techniques to know and understand to secure such help. A study from The Foundation Center shows that it is worth pursuing grants. In their study sampling, 35 percent of the grantmakers funded 50 percent or more of the grant requests that had been submitted. Success is part preparation, part following the submission rules and one hundred percent getting your grant requests sent out. A workshop scheduled for today and which is entitled ‘When Bake Sales Aren’t Enough’ is free and will cover the basics of seeking grant funding, as well as how to get your organization “grant ready”.
