To the superstitious, Friday and the 13th is an unlucky combination, however, this year, residents of the Uintah Basin can call it their lucky day. The Hotel Vernal Haunt will be having a special preview night tonight, Friday the 13th, to allow the volunteers a chance to have a run through and also give the residents a sneak peek of the scary fun to be had. In its second year, this event has many people excited including the four charities (Uintah County Search and Rescue, Drug Court, Rotary Club-Literacy and Charitable Friends of Ashley Valley) that are the benefactors of this year’s haunt. Besides the Fear Haunt there are some additional features this year including an Escape Room and a limited In-Haunt Tour. Tickets for today’s special preview will be $12 dollars for adults and $10 dollars for children, seniors or veterans. The haunt takes place at the Weston Lamplighter Inn at 120 East Main in Vernal and will run from 8pm to 11pm.
