An ‘All Wheel Park’ is under construction on the property next to the Uintah Community Center which is all part of plans approved by the Uintah Special Service District 1 Board. Drafts of the Master Plan and subsequent public meetings to gather input were held over several months in 2022 and proposed expansion on the Kay Memorial Park adjacent to the rec center. The drawings explored a wide variety of recreation possibilities before the board narrowed it down to the Master Plan approved in 2022. Uintah Special Service District 1 Executive Director Cheryl Meier shared with Evans Family Media this week that the final Master Plan includes things like fields, an expansion building, skate park and outdoor pool area. “The board put on their priority list the All Wheel Park and the Expansion building,” shares Meier. “Those are the items we are working on here at this location.” Meier also noted that the items of priority at the Dinaland Golf Course include a new irrigation system, equipment, and a golf lounge enclosure with simulators to make a year round revenue at the golf course. The priorities at the parks include new fields for softball and baseball with lights, a new Splash Park in Naples, and new bathrooms.
