The Vernal Oilers did what they set out to do and are coming home National Champions! The Oilers defeated the Springfield Pics 6 to 2 during Monday’s USPHL Premier National Championship game. In response to the win, Vernal City Mayor Doug Hammond proclaimed March 24th as Vernal Oilers Day, honoring the team’s remarkable achievements this season. The Oilers made history with their 44-0 regular season. All are invited to welcome the National Champs home along a parade route on Highway 40 in Vernal at 2pm today, tentatively.
