ALIA Aircraft Making Stop In Vernal Tomorrow

by | Mar 11, 2025 | News | 0 comments

The “future of aviation” is being showcased from Heber to Logan today, with just one stop left and happening in northeastern Utah. State leaders are hosting the events featuring aerospace company BETA Technologies as they conduct Utah’s first air taxi demonstrations and the tour ends tomorrow in Vernal. Advanced air mobility is a new form of transportation that uses electric and next-generation aircraft to move people and packages to key destinations. The ALIA aircraft can transport up to 5 passengers or 1,250 pounds of cargo. “We move people—and the things they need—using more than just roads,” shares UDOT executive director Carlos Braceras. “These demonstrations are more than just a technology showcase — they represent a fundamental shift in how we think about mobility. As Utah’s population grows and we face increasing demands on our ground transportation system, we know that advanced air mobility offers innovative new solutions to address our evolving mobility needs.” Tomorrow’s event in Vernal is an opportunity to see the ALIA aircraft up close. It is free and open to the public but registration is required. The link to register can be found with this story on BasinNow.com.
