It’s been an exciting few days for Uintah High Theatre. Saturday was closing night of their successful run of ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ and Monday kicked off with the announcement of the first round of state high school theatre nominations. For their performances in Hadestown: Benson Baumgarten is nominated for Best Actor; Cecilia Benjamin is nominated for Best Actress; Reed Uasila’a is nominated for Best Supporting Actor; Aurelia Harrison is nominated for Best Supporting Actress; and Ethan Pierce is nominated for Best Cameo. For their performances in Roald Dahl’s ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’, Ethan Pierce is nominated for Best Actor; Ashlyn Adams is nominated for Best Actress; Benson Baumgarten is nominated for Best Supporting Actor; Mae Coonradt is nominated for Best Supporting Actress; and Macy Carlson and Sam Sorenson are nominated for Best Featured Performers. Congratulations to these performers and more nominations are expected in the coming weeks.
