Uintah Basin Science And Engineering Fair Winners

The annual Uintah Basin Science and Engineering Fair was held on Thursday at the Uintah Conference Center. Sponsored by Utah State University Uintah Basin, students from Uintah Middle School, Vernal Middle School, and The Terra Academy presented their projects to the judges with the top 3 in many categories recognized. The first place winners in 6th grade were Emalee Purcell in Biological Sciences, Leah Wells in Physical Sciences, Moses LeBeau in Engineering, and Paizlee Seamons in Social Sciences. The first place winners in 7th grade were Austin Taylor in Biological Sciences, Cristin Halverson in Physical Sciences, Ember Zufelt in Engineering, and Paisley Johnson in Social Sciences. The first place winners in 8th grade were Tyler Huber in Biological Sciences, Morris Stewart in Physical Sciences, Melody Liebhardt in Engineering, and Shayanne Ulwelling in Social Sciences. The top 3 students in each grade and category advance to the Ritchey Science and Engineering Fair at Weber State University in March. Congratulations to all the young scientists who took part in this year’s science fair.
