Stricter Rules Implemented For Volunteers/Visitors To Uintah Schools

Stricter rules have been implemented for volunteers and visitors to Uintah School District schools and the changes are official as of today. According to the District announcement, all volunteers and visitors to USD schools must bring photo ID with them. “The photo ID will be scanned at a kiosk that has been installed in each school office to help staff better identify and account for volunteers and visitors while they are on campus,” shares the District. “This change in our procedures is part of our district’s continuing efforts to keep our students and staff safe at school. We do not anticipate any delays for volunteers or visitors because of this new security screening, but it wouldn’t hurt to arrive a little earlier than usual to allow time for the check-in process.” There are a few exceptions to this rule as ID requirements will be waived for those attending parent teacher conferences, school programs, concerts, games, or other performances that are open to the public. Questions can be directed to Support Services Director Mindy Merrell.
