Every year, the first bundle of joy born at local hospitals is greeted with special gifts and the title as the New Year’s Baby. Ashley Regional Medical Center has announced that their 2025 New Year’s Baby was Kairos, born to Marcella and Trelle on January 1st at 12:45am. Kairos weighed 8 pounds 7 ounces and measured 22 inches long. Marcella thanked the entire labor and delivery team for the safe delivery and special treatment. “We are so honored and grateful to the community for spoiling us and our New Year’s baby,” shared Marcella. “Thank you to each and every one of the businesses and individuals who showered us in gifts.” Dr. Kayden Barber shared that Marcella impressed everyone with her strength during her natural delivery after a grueling labor. “It was an honor to help care for her and her family as the first baby of the year here at ARMC!” said Dr. Barber. Ashley Regional Women’s Center shared their gratitude to all the local businesses that donated gifts to the family in the New Year’s Baby gift basket.
