Arrests Made After Purse Stolen From Tire Store In Duchesne City

Arrests were made in a case of a purse stolen from a tire store in Duchesne City over the weekend. Officers responded after a woman reported that she had left her purse on a chair in the waiting room while she went to get something to eat and when she returned, the purse was gone. The store employees said that an elderly woman and 2 younger adults asked about the purse sitting on the chair and the employee told them another customer would be returning for it. When she returned, the purse was gone. The contact information for the adults who had inquired about the purse was provided and when contacted, they stated that they thought it was theirs. They made arrangements to meet an officer in Wasatch County. The purse was retrieved but missing $200 in cash. Jasper Arhi and Heather Sivels were both arrested. Jasper was transported to the Duchesne County Jail for charges involving financial transaction cards and several no bail warrants. Heather was booked into Wasatch County Jail.
