New Pavilions at Buckskin Hills Shooting Range

Already among the best in the nation, Buckskin Hills just got better. Thanks to grant money through the National Rifle Association, the shooting complex now has 4 new pavilions. Uintah County Commissioner Brad Horrocks credits the work and dedication of Gayle Rasmussen with the funding opportunity. He also credited Bill Lewis for the effort behind ongoing improvements at Buckskin Hills. These additions to the shooting range come at the perfect time as spring turns to summer and traffic to Buckskin Hills jumps. “These are real nice pavilions,” shares Commissioner Horrocks. “They give people a place to come in, eat lunch and have their familiy with them at the shooting range. These are quite an asset.” Upgrades to Buckskin Hills have continued to be a priority in the local shooting community. The Gun and Knife show held this spring earned money to add concrete benches, storage containers and special targets to the range.
