An arrest was made on Wednesday in connection with the triple fatal crash that killed Colorado roadway workers in September east of Grand Junction. On September 4th, two CDOT employees who were working outside of their vehicle were struck and killed by a Jeep Grand Cherokee. The Jeep then hit a CDOT vehicle parked completely off the side of the road causing the Jeep to roll. The passenger of the Jeep was killed and the driver was transported to the hospital. Following an investigation, 59-year-old Patrick James Sneddon was arrested on December 18th by Colorado State Patrol. He was booked into the Mesa County Jail on 3 counts of Vehicular Homicide while Driving Under the Influence, 2 counts of Failure to Yield Right of Way to a Stationary Public Service Utility Vehicle Resulting in Death, Failure to Drive in a Single Lane, and Driving while Under the Influence of Alcohol, Drugs, or Both.
