Charges have shown up in 8th District Court attached to a traffic stop last month in the Jensen area of Uintah County. The officer conducted a records check on the vehicle and found that there was a warrant attached to the vehicle for 53-year-old Vickie Rose Bristol. The officer initiated a traffic stop and noted that upon approaching the vehicle, the driver was immediately argumentative and defensive, saying she did not have to show an ID. She did eventually confirm that she was Vickie Bristol. The officer informed her multiple times that she was under arrest and needed to exit the vehicle. Bristol refused and argued with the officer before eventually complying and exiting the vehicle. While enroute to the jail, Bristol was asked if she had any drugs or weapons on her which she replied that she did not. While inside the Uintah County Jail, staff located a glass pipe hiding in her person. The pipe tested positive for Methamphetamine. She is charged with 3rd Degree Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance within a Correctional Facility, and Misdemeanor Use or Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Driving on a Denied License.
