Questions were asked, testimony was given, arguments were passionately delivered, and now the justices of the Supreme Court will take their time to consider it all. The topic under the microscope has to do with the scope of NEPA, the National Environmental Policy Act, specifically in regards to the 88-mile proposed Uinta Basin Railway project. While environmental groups are demanding that the D.C. Circuit ruling be upheld that withdrew permits originally issued on the project, the Seven County Infrastructure Coalition argues that NEPA reviews have gone too far in hyper-regulating infrastructure projects and American energy independence. Evans Family Media spoke with Jonathan Stearmer following Tuesday’s hearing and will be sharing the interview on Newstalk KVEL today at 5:00pm. Stearmer, who is an attorney on the Uinta Railway legal team, attended Tuesday’s hearing in person and felt really good about how the hearing went. Tune in to Newstalk KVEL 104.5 FM and AM920 today at 5:00pm for the entire interview.
