A traffic stop for having no headlights ended in arrest for a man on Friday in Uintah County. The officer initiated the stop for the equipment violation but a records check returned that the registration on the vehicle was revoked. According to the Probable Cause Statement, it was also found that the vehicle had no insurance and the driver had an active warrant out for his arrest. An inventory of the vehicle revealed a controlled substance and a loaded firearm. As a category II restricted person, 59-year-old Ivan Hugh Penningjack was arrested and is charged with 3rd Degree Felony Possession of a Firearm by a Restricted Person, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and other Misdemeanor charges.
