Ashley National Forest Details On Christmas Tree Permits

by | Oct 29, 2024 | News | 0 comments

The late arrival of fall may be contributing to the shock that winter is making its move and the holidays are right around the corner. With that in mind, Ashley National Forest is equipping residents with the information needed for that annual adventure to find the perfect Christmas tree. Christmas tree permits will be available starting on November 14th for the public at all Ashley National Forest offices and vendors. Permit tags are $15 dollars in person at vendors and our offices as well as online at Recreation.gov but keep in mind if you choose to purchase your permit online there is a service fee. Fourth graders may receive a free Christmas tree tag by following the instructions on the website www.everykidoutdoors.gov. This year vendors for permit tags are: the Forest Service Office in Vernal and Duchesne and Manila, Davis Food and Drug in Vernal and Roosevelt, Liberty Corner in Lapoint, Hanna Country Store in Hanna, Stewarts in Roosevelt, Flaming Gorge Market in Manila, and the Flaming Gorge Resort near Dutch John.
