Court documents reveal additional details in the tragic Kimberly Hyde murder. The investigative team identified Henry Resuera and a juvenile as the suspects in the case. The juvenile is currently in custody while Henry Resuera traveled to another country prior to being identified as a suspect and investigators are actively collaborating with the FBI and other international agencies to facilitate his return to face charges. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause in Support of a Warrant for Arrest, Resuera’s full name is Henry Cito Resuera, Jr. and he is 37-years-old. Investigators believe he fled to the Philippines. The investigator’s report included in the court documents provides a timeline of events that was established using neighborhood, traffic, and bus camera surveillance. When Kimberly Hyde’s vehicle was located at 750 South 500 East in Vernal on October 8th the back seat was observed to be filled with items that had been reported as missing from the Hyde residence. The body was discovered under the pile of items in the back seat. On October 10th, a witness was interviewed that said Henry Resuera’s son had stated that he had to drive his father to the airport for a family emergency the night before. Resuera’s wife and son were interviewed and the Resuera residence was searched after a search warrant was granted. Resuera’s wife and son admitted that Henry had disclosed to them that he had killed Kimberly Hyde. The son stated that on October 7th, his father told him to meet him in Vernal to pick him up. The son did not know the reason at the time but did what he was asked. He recognized that his father was with Kimberly Hyde’s car and during the drive his father told him he had killed Kimberly Hyde. Multiple stops were made to throw items out of the car. The son said he was later tasked with driving his father to the airport in Salt Lake City where Resuera flew to the Philippines, where he is originally from. Court documents further state that the investigation revealed that Kimberly Hyde was held against her will and bound. She was stabbed multiple times and eventually succumbed to her injuries. Resueras is wanted on 1st Degree Felony Aggravated Murder, Kidnapping, Robbery, and Burglary.
