Uintah High Theatre impressed the crowd at the High School Musical Theatre Awards in Salt Lake on Saturday with their segment featuring “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang”. The talented teens entertained and thrilled the crowd, especially as the car began to float on the stage bringing the audience to their feet. Aidan Piner and Connor Talbot won the Best Cameos in Utah 2017 award. The humorous duo both thanked their parents in their acceptance speech. This is the second year Aidan Piner has won, taking last year’s award for his performance as Scuttle in The Little Mermaid. His award is considered a great accomplishment especially considering the serious competition between the 29 high schools involved. “I’m very proud of our kids and the whole production team,” shares Uintah High Theatre Director Chris Piner. “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang was a great success… The judges praised our production. The audiences loved the show. And the kids were very proud of being part of something quality.”
