A big break in a cold case brought investigators to Starvation Reservoir on Monday. A
Fox13 report shares that a vehicle with human remains inside was found and crews were
working together to pull the vehicle out of the reservoir. While details on which cold case
this related to were not shared, it was confirmed to the news agency by Duchesne County
Sheriff Travis Tucker that a body was found inside the vehicle and an investigation is
underway. The break in the case came thanks to a unique organization called United
Search Corps, a non-profit that continues searching for murdered and missing
individuals, even after the case runs cold. Speaking on behalf of United Search Corps,
Doug Bishop shared with Fox13 that their search actually started at Flaming Gorge
before moving to Starvation Reservoir. The type of underwater search they utilize
discovered the vehicle that they say is the vehicle connected with the case they have been
working on. Evans Family Media will report additional information when it becomes
available.
