A man that eluded arrest for several weeks was arrested last week on outstanding warrants. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, 20-year-old Jaxon Lee Gross was scheduled to report to Adult Probation and Parole on September 3rd when he called his parole officer and reported that he hadn’t filed his paperwork through the court and didn’t want to go back to jail. He was told he needed to meet with the parole officer and that he had warrants and would be booked into jail. Shortly after the phone call, Adult Probation and Parole received a notification that Gross had cut the strap off of his GPS ankle monitor. The monitor was located in the men’s bathroom of the Naples Maverick. Three weeks later, Gross was found and taken into custody on the outstanding warrants. He is additionally charged with 3rd Degree Felony Escape for removing the GPS monitor several weeks prior.
