After several accidents involving vehicles and pedestrians or cyclists, Vernal Police Department is ready to equip the community with important public safety reminders. Several classes will be held on crosswalk and crossing guard safety this week in the Vernal City Community Room and the public is invited to attend whichever class works best. The class will go over best practices for crosswalk safety, including how to make crosswalks safer and more visible for both drivers and pedestrians. It will go over effective crossing guard techniques and the legal responsibilities and rights of pedestrians and vehicles. All are invited to attend one of the free classes taking place Thursday, September 12th, at 6pm and Friday, September 13th, at 2pm and 4pm.
