Man Charged With Illegally Killing Bull Elk Over Four Years On Tabby Mountain

Charges were filed this week in 8th District Court for Wanton Destruction in the illegal killing of bull elk on the Tabby Mountain Wildlife Management Area of Duchesne County over the last four years. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, a search warrant and investigation of cell phone photos, time stamps, and GPS coordinates provided evidence of the killings resulting in 3rd Degree Felony charges for the illegal killings listed as taking place in October of 2020, October of 2021, and December of 2023. This included 6 by 6 trophy bull elk with only the antlers sawed off. 26-year-old Austin Tobias Fleek has been charged with four counts of Felony Wanton Destruction. He’s scheduled to be in court on August 26th.
