Crews Actively Fighting Moffat County Wildfire

Highway 40 is now open to all traffic in Moffat County though travelers need to be aware of fire crews working in the area. On Wednesday afternoon, the Moffat County Sheriff’s Office announced that their wildfire crews along with Moffat County Road and Bridge, BLM, Craig Fire, and aircraft were actively fighting a wildland fire in the area of Moffat County Roads 90 and 174. The burn area is estimated at about 400 acres, and the cause is undetermined at this time. No structures are currently threatened by the fire.
