Roosevelt’s Secondary Water project continues. Most recently work included in the area of 300 North between 750 West and 950 West which included service installation, drain installation, and air release station installation. Crews then moved to Gates Drive, installing the main line from 750 West heading toward the west end of the road. Roosevelt City shared that next week, it is planned that main line installation will continue on Gates Drive. “As the project continues, crews will drop off project notifications and stakes for the marking of service locations to homeowners on the affected roads,” shares the announcement. “During construction, it has been noticed that there are unsupervised children from the neighborhood very near to the project location and the construction equipment. To protect the public, and especially the children, the project team asks that children are kept away from the construction equipment so accidents do not occur.” Roosevelt City was awarded a $2 million dollar grant in the spring from the Division of Water Resources for the installation of 11,500 feet of secondary water service line.
