UBATC graduated another round of POST officers last week and the Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office is congratulating their six cadets. The group completed all three phases of the Peace Officer Standards and Training satellite academy. They are now certified as SFO Special Function Officer, BCO Basic Corrections Officer, and LEO Law Enforcement Officer. The graduating cadets for Duchesne County include Daniel Bulow, Misti Duncan, Luke Hackford, Derrick Kearney, Walt Linkenhoker, and Dalan Knight. Daniel Bulow received the High Academics Award, Walt Linkenhoker received the Outstanding Firearms Award, and Derrick Kearney received the Cecil Gurr Award. Director Travis Tucker conducted the ceremony and Naples Police Chief Mark Watkins swore in the cadets.
