Uintah Basin travelers should be aware of construction starting up Monday on a highly traveled stretch of Highway 40. Delays can be expected starting on July 15th as UDOT is returning to complete the final phase of the project to renew Highway 40 up Daniels between Clegg Canyon and the junction with US-189 in Heber City. “This project is a continuation of UDOT’s effort to improve traction, road quality, and safety via new guardrail and road barrier along US-40 between Heber and Vernal,” shares the UDOT announcement. “They completed the first phase of this section of the highway last fall by replacing pedestrian ramps and sealing cracks in the asphalt before freezing winter temperatures.” For more information, visit UDOTinput.utah.gov.
