A Uintah Basin cowboy is making his mark on professional rodeo as he keeps climbing the ranks. 21-year-old Cash Robb is pushing to reach his first-ever Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. The PRCA’s prorodeo.com publication highlighted his growing chances this week after his Steer Wrestling win at the 89th Annual Independence Day Rodeo in Oakley City, Utah.
With that win, the Altamont cowboy hit the rankings as 15th in the world standings which is the cutoff line for the NFR. While Robb has a lineup of rodeos ahead during which he needs to maintain his ranking, his odds are looking good.
He told prorodeo.com, “It’s just about being consistent. You have to leave the bad runs in the past. There’s nothing you can do about them once they are over. You have to go onto the next event with a clear mind. Of course I want to get to the NFR. But the world title is the goal. You have to set your goals high and try to reach them.”
In 2022, Robb finished 282nd in the world standings. By 2023, he finished in 24th place. We are all watching with excitement and high expectations as Cash Robb keeps climbing and does what he was born to do!
