There’s been a lot of local talk about the beautiful Green River with the Outlaw Trail production of ‘Let’s Go – A John Wesley Powell Story’ underway but the river has another spotlight on it as well. Paddling Magazine has included the Green River as number 10 on their list of the 17 Most Beautiful Rivers In The World. Number 1 on the list is Canada’s South Nahanni River. The list also includes rivers in Germany, Hungary, Portugal, New Zealand, Portugal, and Mexico. Other rivers in the United States include the Suwannee River in Florida and the Missouri River in Montana. Paddling Magazine highlights that the Green River has exceptional camping and landscapes with incredible indigenous and settler history.
