The major construction and renovation of Red Fleet State Park continues with the
community eager to enjoy the improvements. Contractor BHI provided an update this
week, stating, “we’ve just received full approval on the septic system design. In the Day
Use area, the ADA ramp is complete, and we’re adding the final touches to perfect the
space. The North Campground loop is now finished, and in the Main Loop, we’re busy
setting up new cabins and finalizing the Comfort Stations.” The collaboration with the
Utah Division of State Parks includes new campgrounds, beach access, picnic areas,
parking, and cottages. Red Fleet State Park closed about a year ago for construction. It
was originally planned for the 2022 season but had to be delayed due to supply chain
issues.
