Search Warrant Leads To Craig Arrest, Meth Seizure, Recovery Of Stolen Firearm

On June 14th, 2024, the Craig Police Department, with assistance from the Moffat County Sheriff’s Office and the Moffat County Combined Special Response Team, executed a search warrant which led to the arrest of Steven William Carlock. According to Craig Police, officers had become aware that Carlock was in possession of a firearm, violating multiple Colorado Statutes due to his criminal history. As a result, a search warrant was obtained for his residence. Once Carlock was detained, officers searched the residence, recovered the stolen firearm, recovered a stolen dirtbike, and seized an amount of Methamphetamine. Carlock was transported to the Moffat County Jail without incident, where he was charged with Felony Possession of a Weapon by a Previous Offender and Misdemeanor Theft, Violation of Criminal Protection Order, and various drug charges.
