The City of Green River, Wyoming has a strong message for anyone planning to spend time on or around the Green River in that region. On Monday, the announcement was shared that water levels of the Green River through the City of Green River are expected to increase in the next 3 weeks. Currently, water flows through the city are at 1,300 cubic feet per second. The Bureau of Reclamation has announced, however, that they expect the flows to increase to about 4,000 cubic feet per second by the end of June. “Local officials are encouraging river users [and] floaters to heed signage above the diversion dam just up-stream from the city,” shares the announcement. “Signage encourages floaters to walk around the diversion dam.” Also, please wear a life jacket while enjoying the Green River.
