Whether or not you’re signed up to enjoy some golf today as part of the Back the Blue Fundraiser Golf Tournament, all are invited to the Dinaland Golf Course to participate in the silent auction and lunch. Vernal City Police Sergeant Chad Watt was shot multiple times while on duty last month and after several weeks in the hospital is now home recovering. Today’s Back the Blue event is put on by civic group “Vernal Strong” which joined forces with Uintah Special Service District 1 and Charitable Friends of Ashley Valley. The tourney is a 4 person scramble. There will also be games, a silent auction, and more fun all to benefit Sgt. Watt in his recovery.
