An upcoming fishing derby on the Wyoming side of Flaming Gorge will benefit a really great cause for single moms in Green River, Wyoming and beyond. The McKenzie Home Fishing Derby is happening June 1st and 2nd with the support of Ashley National Forest Service and the Wyoming Game and Fish Department. Teams of 2 to 3 are invited to register and the categories paid out by length will be Brown Trout and Rainbow/Cutthroat Trout, both of which are catch and release. The other category is Lake Trout that are less than 25 inches and will be paid out by average team weight. Half of all entry fees will go towards the McKenzie home project and half is paid back to participants in prizes.
