Citizens throughout the region are asked to please share any information they may have about a fatal hit and run that took place in Rifle, Colorado on Monday. The incident took place at around 4:50am when a suspect vehicle struck a pedestrian resulting in the pedestrian’s death. The suspect vehicle is believed to be a silver 2005 to 2010 model of a Jeep Grand Cherokee. The vehicle is believed to have significant front-end damage and additional damage to the hood. A photo from security camera footage and a photo of what the suspect vehicle is believed to look like are shared on the Rifle Police Department Facebook page as well as with this story on BasinNow.com. Everyone in the region is asked to keep an eye out as the vehicle likely left the Rifle area.
