The support of the community is greatly appreciated by the people behind Project Alley. Project Alley is actively working towards establishing a women’s recovery home to be located in Vernal, Utah. Similar to Thompson House of Hope that provides an option for addiction recovery for men, Project Alley is faith based and is all about getting help for locals without having to go out of the area to get it. Their stated mission “is to provide a comprehensive recovery program for women struggling with addiction, helping them transform into spiritually minded, productive, and service oriented individuals, while staying connected with their families, homes, workplaces, and communities.” Donations are needed and so appreciated to get them closer to their goal. A spring rummage sale fundraiser to benefit Project Alley is taking place this Saturday, May 4th, from 8am to 2pm at 120 East Main Street in Vernal, in the LaCabana Restaurant parking lot. Donations of items to sell can be dropped off today through May 3rd at the storage unit in the LaCabana parking lot. Cash donations are also greatly appreciated and no amount is too small.
