A Motorhome was determined to be stolen from Roosevelt City last week but was found over the weekend near Cottonwood Reservoir leading to two arrests. An individual reported the 1989 Chevrolet Motorhome as missing on Thursday, stating that the vehicle was being kept on her property but that the owner had died and the Motorhome had gone missing. Officers contacted the owner’s family who reported that the owner had not given any of his property away before his death and that the Motorhome was stolen. The mystery gained a quick lead when the investigating officer was shown a picture of the front of the Motorhome. The officer realized that he had seen it with Roy Tibbets and it had been parked at the Roosevelt Library the week prior and at the Constitution Park before that. That day a call came in with a report that Tibbets and Angela Boren had taken the vehicle. On April 21st, the missing Motorhome was located by Uintah County Sheriff’s Office near Cottonwood Reservoir and 53-year-old Roy Dennis Tibbets and 45-year-old Angela Boren were on site. The Motorhome had been hotwired and had no ignition device. Tibbets and Boren were both placed under arrest and transported to the Duchesne County Jail. Both are charged with 2nd Degree Felony Theft of an Operable Motor Vehicle.
